HELLWALKER By MetalMachine
--------------------------

Version 1.02

This is a complete "full game" hack of the Legend of Zelda, including:

- Title/Intro/Outro/Credits
- Overworld
- Dungeons
- All graphics
- All music
- Many sound effects

Some things to know:

- The story is not Zelda universe-related at all.
- This should work on any hardware or emulator that runs vanilla LoZ.
- This is intended to be difficult. Not crazy hard, but challenging.
- There are a handful of in-game mechanics new/different from vanilla LoZ.
- The up+a sequence, saving, retrying, continuing work as normal.
- Block-clipping and screen-wrapping have been patched out.

Patching
--------

The IPS patch must be applied to a North American PRG0 version of the Legend of Zelda.

Results of patching another version of LoZ are unknown and unsupported.

Typical filename is "Legend of Zelda, The (USA).nes" although that could vary.

Tips
----

Note: Do not read this section if you want to play completely blind.

- Some solutions will require "outside of the box" thinking. There is always a path forward.
- Dungeon blocks can be pushed over other dungeon blocks, or moats.
- Dungeons have a 1:1 key to locked door ratio. There is no magical key in this hack.
- The dungeon names are based on Dante's Inferno and are designed to be completed in the same order.
